Medical Academic And Scientific Community Organization Awards New Flyer A Contract For 30 40-Foot Xcelsior™ Buses

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada – July 17, 2013:  (TSX:NFI; TSX:NFI.DB.U) New Flyer Industries Inc. (“New Flyer” or the “Company”), the leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses in the United States and Canada, announced that Medical Academic and Scientific Organization (“MASCO”), located in Boston, MA has awarded New Flyer a contract for 30 Xcelsior™ clean diesel heavy-duty buses.

MASCO currently transports approximately 11,000 riders each day on ten different routes, using a fleet of 41 vehicles. These 30 New Flyer Xcelsior™ buses will be wholly owned and operated by MASCO and will be used in place of buses currently in active service by a transit service provider.

The 30 buses are anticipated to begin production in the second quarter of 2014 and will be completely manufactured and assembled at New Flyer of America’s St. Cloud, Minnesota manufacturing facility.  All buses are expected to be delivered in 2014.
