Leadership Changes at New Flyer for 2017, Wayne Joseph Named President, Transit Bus Business and Brian Dewsnup Named President, Aftermarket Parts Business

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada – December 23, 2016: (TSX:NFI) New Flyer Industries Inc. (the “Company”), the largest bus and motor coach manufacturer in North America, announced business unit leadership promotions. Effective January 1, 2017, Wayne Joseph becomes President, Transit Bus Business and Brian Dewsnup becomes President, Aftermarket Parts Business for both New Flyer and MCI.

Wayne Joseph currently Executive Vice President Bus has become President of the Transit Bus business unit. Wayne joined New Flyer in 2008 and prior to that held executive positions in bus manufacturing for over thirty years with NABI, Blue Bird Body Company and Flxible, and at BAE Systems. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an Accounting Degree from Ashland University in Ohio. He also has a Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation.

The Company also announced the combination of the New Flyer and MCI aftermarket parts businesses under Brian Dewsnup. Currently Vice President and General Manager of the MCI aftermarket business, Brian will become President of the combined New Flyer and MCI aftermarket parts businesses. Brian was previously the CFO of North American Bus Industries (NABI) which was acquired by New Flyer in 2013. Prior to that Brian served as Controller of Johns Manville’s Waterville operations – a Berkshire Hathaway Company, and held various finance capacities at Ford Motor Company and Visteon Corporation. Brian has an MBA in Finance, a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Paul Soubry continues as President and Chief Executive Officer of New Flyer Industries Inc., the parent company of New Flyer and MCI.
