New Flyer Wins APTA’s AdWheel Award for its Intranet
On October 4, 2010, at the APTA Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, New Flyer received the Grand Prize in the Electronic Media category at the AdWheel awards for its intranet, iBus. This new employee communication tool was launched in 2009 and quickly became the “meeting place” for New Flyer employees. iBus is used to communicate news about the company, its customers and its products as well as social committee events, team activities and other employee news. It is also the location for many forms, templates, and other shared information.
Award criteria included clarity of message, use of design layout and type, overall impact and attention-getting qualities. This is the second Grand Prize for New Flyer; the first was in 2009 for its Earth Day Employee Campaign.
