New Flyer Receives CME Manitoba Export Award

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada;
(TSX:NFI.UN) New Flyer Industries Inc.
(“New Flyer” or the “Company”), the leading manufacturer of heavy-duty
transit vehicles in Canada and the United States, announced today that
it has received the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) –
Manitoba Division Manitoba Export Award.
The award is given to a Manitoba-based
manufacturer/exporter that has been successful in implementing
innovations and/or new products to improve competitiveness and capture
new export markets or to expand existing export markets. Candidates are
also evaluated on export growth and good corporate citizenship.
New Flyer was formally presented with the award at the CME Manitoba Division Gala Awards Dinner at the Winnipeg Convention Centre. New Flyer was announced as the recipient during a
ceremony to launch Manitoba Manufacturing Week. The ceremony was
held at New Flyer’s new Canadian vehicle assembly facility at 630
Kernaghan Avenue on Monday, March 10, 2008.
