Position Summary:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager this position is responsible for the
daily coordination of driving success in accident reduction and prevention
through implementation of company programs promoting improved Health and Safety
while providing organizational support in the areas of safety, accident
investigation compliance, hazard analysis and workplace safety education. We are
looking for a team player that is resourceful and can provide active support and
guidance to the employees and leadership team.Skills & Qualifications:
As part of the team this candidate will contribute in the development, promotion
of safety policies and procedures and continuous improvement of company safety
programs, training and procedures to ensure OHSAS 18001 safety management system
are compliant and current with applicable acts, regulations and industry leading
safety practices are adhered to. Superior inter-personal, relationship
management skills are essential. Clear knowledge of WHMIS, MSDS, OSHA, CSA, and
ANSI standards as well as Safer Workplaces Act 2002 and Manitoba regulations
217/2006. .Strong MS office, Word, Excel, and Access required. Previous
manufacturing experience and CRSP designation would be considered an asset.
