The numbers tell us that XcelsiorTM exceeds expectations. The data from
passenger surveys, feedback from drivers and testing at Altoona all say
the same thing – that we’ve built a better bus. XcelsiorTM is
lighter-weight, more fuel-efficient and quieter, and when you combine
that with New Flyer’s legendary product reliability and the industry’s
most comprehensive aftermarket parts and services, you will see that it
all adds up. XcelsiorTM, it’s better by design.

Passenger Surveys
In the summer of 2010, XcelsiorTM buses were put into revenue service in two North American cities. No advance notice was provided to the public, and the buses didn’t have any advertising announcing the features of this new bus. Passengers were asked to complete written surveys about the experience and we received feedback from more than 1000 respondents. They told us what we wanted to hear - that XcelsiorTM meets all of our design objectives and exceeds their expectations!
