New Flyer’s St. Cloud, Minnesota manufacturing facility, a major employer in the area, played a critical role in helping the city of St. Cloud receive the Most Valuable Pollution Prevention Award from the National Pollution Prevention Council. The St. Cloud facility contributed significantly to the city’s 48% reduction in outgoing phosphorous levels within one year.
New Flyer is the only North American bus manufacturer to support American and Canadian transit associations by pledging support to APTA’s PT2 and CUTA’s VIP programs at the leadership level. New Flyer is committed to the growth of public transportation and feels strongly that these programs, which promote public transportation, can and will increase ridership. New Flyer also serves on many boards and committees for these North American industry associations.
